Hello! It’s a pleasure to share my fabric art with you.
I like to think of my art as a celebration of color and design. My artwork came to be by combining my backgrounds in fashion design and graphic design with my love of sewing, and the results are bright, cheerful, and fun. Little did I know that a class in How to Market Your Art would put me on this wonderful, creative adventure.
My preferred method for bringing my ideas to life is with fusible machine appliqué. It gives me freedom to design unique compositions.
My fabric art journey has taken me in different directions over the years, including participating in juried art festivals, exhibiting, and selling my art. More recently, I’ve focused on presentations, workshops, and pattern making. I hope my fresh designs and bright colors will leave you inspired and smiling.

Program: Creative Explorations

This lecture describes how I’ve been moving forward with my creative journey from juried art festivals to quilt challenges and commissioned pieces. In my pursuit of trying new things I share techniques I’ve learned while exploring “what if.” For your viewing pleasure I have more than 20 pieces of art to share with you. It’s filled with stories, tips, and oodles of inspiration.

Program: Poises In the Sunshine

Friday August 18 In Person at Luther Burbank Arts and Garden Center

I’m a sucker for big colorful blooms. In this workshop you’ll learn to make glorious dimensional flowers with fabric covered button centers. There are so many options to be explored! Using fusible appliqué you’ll create a wonky, woven background for your bouquet, and a sweet vase to display your flowers. Experience with fusible appliqué is helpful, though not necessary.
